Discuss the Everton vs Manchester City Women’s FA Cup final with our writers

Manchester City try to win the Women’s FA Cup for the third time in four years today as they face surprise finalists Everton at Wembley.

Everton, who have won the trophy themselves twice in 1989 (in their previous guise as Leasowe Pacific) and 2010, surprisingly knocked out reigning WSL champions Chelsea in the quarter-finals. They will be hoping for a better outcome than their last FA Cup final, when they lost 2-0 to Arsenal six years ago.

The clubs played each other in the League Cup in early October, with City coming from a goal down to win 3-1. It was the same score in their last league meeting, back in January.

Pose your questions now and The Athletic’s Katie Whyatt and Patrick Boyland will join in a couple of hours before kick-off, then discuss the performances and where the match was won and lost and pick through what the result means for both clubs.
