Dennis Rodman begs for rioting to end: 'We're not f—ing animals'

NBA legend Dennis Rodman posted a video Sunday begging the riots and looting to stop in America following the death of George Floyd, saying people are acting like “animals” and making an already bad situation worse.

“Someone needs to come out and say, why are we looting? Why are we stealing? Why are we creating more issues, more problems?” Mr. Rodman said in an Instagram video, titled “Rest in Power George Floyd.”

“Let’s get to the head of what’s really going on,” he continued. “This is a bad, bad situation. But … protest in the right way. You don’t have to go and burn down things, steal things, burn things. … we’ve got enough issues with COVID virus right now.”

Mr. Rodman ended his message by calling for unity and asking younger generations to help educate older generations to better understand racial issues.

“We’ve got too many issues right now,” he said. “This is a bad one right now, but we’ve got to all come together and try to help each other try to get through all this situation. Please, please understand, we have to live together. We’re human beings, we’re not f–ing animals. We’re human beings.”

Protests and riots rocked the country for the sixth straight night Sunday following the Memorial Day death of Floyd, an unarmed black man who died in Minneapolis after a white police officer pinned him to the ground by the neck.
