Demi Lovato Is on a Mission to Uncover UFOs in New Docuseries Trailer

“I’m Demi Lovato: signer, activist and UFO experiencer.”

There has never been a better way to introduce yourself. The singer and podcast host utters this instantly iconic phrase in the trailer for their new Peacock series, Unidentified with Demi Lovato.

In the four-part series, which premieres September 30 on NBC’s streaming service Peacock, Lovato is joined by their sister Dallas and friend Matthew Scott Montgomery on a UFO hunt. Together, they will investigate the “truth” behind UFO sightings.

As Lovato explains in the trailer, they became a UFO obsessive after a chance experience while in California’s Joshua Tree. They say there was a bright light moving in ways “that a plane wouldn’t move.” So now, they are simply determined to find out what that movement was!

The series is Lovato’s latest endeavor into the world of docuseries. Earlier this year, they aired another four-part documentary, Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil. The series, which came out in conjunction with their seventh album Dancing with the Devil…the Art of Starting Over, chronicled Lovato’s life since their drug overdose in 2018. Both Dallas and Montgomery also appeared in this docuseries, alongside other members of Lovato’s family and staff.

While Dancing with the Devil was a serious, urgent series, it seems like Unidentified will be on the lighter side. The trailer features Lovato in good spirits, laughing alongside their pals while they listen to extraterrestrial life and search for life in the sky.

Lovato has had a busy year. They also premiered a talk show on Roku, released their album which features the underrated ballad “Easy” featuring Noah Cyrus and hosted their podcast 4D with Demi Lovato.

Last spring, Lovato also came out as pansexual and non-binary, and announced they use they/them pronouns. It’s good to see they’re staying booked and busy…and searching for aliens!
