Colts By First Samurai, Laoban Fastest At OBS Spring Sale’s Sixth Under Tack Session

Hip 1034, First Samurai colt, breezes a quarter in :20 2/5 seconds at the OBS Spring Sale under-tack show.

Colts by First Samurai and Laoban turned in quarters in :20 2/5 to share honors for the fastest work at the distance at the sixth session of the under tack show for Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company’s 2020 Spring Sale of 2-Year-Olds in Training.

Hip No. 1007, consigned by Wavertree Stables, Inc., (Ciaran Dunne), Agent, is a bay colt by Laoban out of Evangelical, by Speightstown, a half-sister to graded stakes-placed Worship the Moon.
Hip No. 1034, a dark bay or brown colt by First Samurai consigned by Eddie Woods, Agent, is out of stakes winner Flat Out Charming, by Flatter, a daughter of stakes-winner Gentle Charmer.

Hip No. 1299, a daughter of Liam’s Map consigned by Cary Frommer LLC, Agent, worked the session’s fastest eighth, stopping the timer in :9 4/5. The dark bay or brown filly is out of Ebony Moment, by Smart Strike, a daughter of graded stakes winner Ebony Breeze.

Four youngsters, all consigned by Wavertree Stables, Inc., (Ciaran Dunne), Agent, worked quarters in :20 3/5.

Hip No. 982, a chestnut colt by Shackleford, is a half-brother to champion Monomoy Girl out of Drumette, by Henny Hughes.
Hip No. 1010 is a bay filly by Firing Line out of graded stakes winner Ever Nice (ARG), by Mutakddim, a half-sister to champion Ever Peace.
Hip No. 1018, a bay colt by Quality Road, is a half-brother to graded stakes-placed stakes winner Standard Deviation out of False Impression, by A.P. Indy.
Hip No. 1298 is a gray or roan colt by California Chrome out of Diva Style, by Unbridled’s Song, a half-sister to classic contender Tiz the Law.

There were nine eighths in :10 flat.

Hip No. 885, a bay colt by Congrats consigned by Kings Equine, Agent for Aaron and Marie Jones LLC, is out of C’Mon Sister, by Successful Appeal, a half-sister to grade one stakes winner Iotapa.
Hip No. 894, also consigned by Kings Equine, is a bay filly by Super Saver out of stakes-placed Comforter, by Nobiz Like Shobiz, from the family of graded winner Muqtarib.
Hip No. 900, a chestnut filly by Frosted consigned by Sequel Bloodstock, Agent, is out of stakes-placed Conquest Soprano, by Super Saver, from the family of champion Diva’s Debut.
Hip No. 908, a chestnut colt by Noble Mission (GB) consigned by Mayberry Farm, Agent, is out of Court Appeal, by Candy Ride (ARG), a half-sister to Grade 1 winner Mani Bhavan.
Hip No. 953, consigned by Julie Davies LLC, Agent, is a chestnut colt by Not This Time out of Delightful Melody, by Tapit, a daughter of graded stakes winner Bending Strings.
Hip No. 965, a dark bay or brown filly by Constitution consigned by Kings Equine, Agent, is out of Distinctlywildwood, by With Distinction, a half-sister to stakes placed My Limit, by Wagon Limit, dam of Grade 1 winner Birdatthewire.

Hip No. 993, consigned by Gene Recio, Agent, is a dark bay or brown colt by Shanghai Bobby out of Elrose, by Deputy Minister, a half-brother to graded stakes winner Super Freaky and Grade 1-placed stakes winner Right There.
Hip No. 1046, consigned by Top Line Sales LLC, Agent, is a gray or roan filly by Shackleford out of Forever Vow, by Broken Vow, and is half-sister to stakes-placed Seven Scents.
