Clippers reportedly fear Kawhi Leonard suffered an ACL injury

The Los Angeles Clippers reportedly fear the worst for Kawhi Leonard.

According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, the Clippers believe Leonard suffered an ACL injury in Game 4 against the Utah Jazz. He is out indefinitely and could miss the remainder of L.A.’s second-round series.

Leonard suffered the injury after colliding with Jazz wing Joe Ingles in the fourth quarter of Monday’s contest. After the game, the 29-year-old insisted he would be fine, saying, “I’ll be good.”

He’s anything but.

Losing Leonard is a huge blow for the Clippers’ title dreams. L.A. is already without Serge Ibaka, who underwent back surgery last week, and will now have to rely on Paul George, Marcus Morris, Nicolas Batum and Rajon Rondo to carry the load.

Even if the Clippers reach the Western Conference Finals, they’ll have to face a tough Phoenix Suns squad that defeated the Los Angeles Lakers and swept the Denver Nuggets to get there.
