Clippers’ Kawhi Leonard to decline option, become free agent: Sources

Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard will decline his $36 million player option for next season and will become an unrestricted free agent, sources told The Athletic.

Leonard, 30, had surgery to repair a partially torn ACL in his right knee in July and there is no timetable for his return. Leonard just finished his second season with the Clippers, averaging 24.8 points and 6.5 rebounds per game.

This is a developing story. More to come.
