Churchill Downs, Inc. will apply for a second parimutuel wagering license in Northern Kentucky, according to Louisville Business First, in order to move simulcasting off-site and complete major renovations at Turfway Park. The construction at Turfway, which CDI purchased last year, is expected to take more than a year.
During Thursday’s quarterly earnings call, CEO Bill Carstanjen indicated that CDI is looking for retail space and will also seek to install historical racing terminals at the venue.
