Chiefs turn to Clyde Edwards-Helaire, relentless ground game in topping Bills


For all the discussions NFL coaches have when it comes to constructing a game plan — how to exploit certain matchups, the effectiveness of certain plays inside the red zone and even the occasional new wrinkle — sometimes the equation to scoring more points than the opponent is rather simple.

Can you run the ball? More importantly, can the opponent stop you from running the ball?

If the first answer is clearly yes, and the second answer is an emphatic no, then almost nothing else, offensively, can have a greater impact on the game’s outcome.

The Chiefs, of course, are not known for running the ball.
