Chelsea ready to include Marcos Alonso in pursuit of £60m rated Achraf Hakimi as the European champions continue talks with Inter Milan over a move for the right-back

  • Chelsea would be willing to include Alonso on top of a £52million cash offer

Chelsea are continuing talks over a deal for Inter Milan right back Achraf Hakimi which could see Marcos Alonso go in the opposite direction.

Inter need cash and value 22-year old Hakimi at £60million but have shown interest in a £52m deal which would include 30-year old Alonso.

The arrival of Hakimi would add competition to the right wing back spot which is currently held by Reece James as the European champions look to lead a Premier League charge next term.

Previous reports had suggested that Chelsea were willing to offer centre-back Andreas Christensen and out of favour right-back Emerson as part of the deal.

After joining for £40million from Real Madrid at the start of the season, Hakimi missed just one league game under Antonio Conte to help deliver the title.

But the Italian champions appear keener on a swap deal which would involve left-back Alonso.

Alonso has been at Stamford Bridge for the past five years and was recalled by new manager Thomas Tuchel back into the first-team fold following his arrival in January, but could now again be surplus to requirements in west London.

PSG have also made offers for Hakimi but have Tottenham’s Serge Aurier as back-up.

AC Milan meanwhile have confirmed the signing of Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori for £25m rising to £30m.
