Eden Hazard was fooled into wearing a Tottenham shirt by a popular barber for footballers, but the Chelsea legend was having none of it.
The retired Belgian was getting a trim by Ahmed Alsanawi, the owner of A Star Barbers, who top Premier League stars regularly trust with their hair.
Alsanawi is a pick for the likes of Phil Foden and Jack Grealish and has been popular with Chelsea stars due to his proximity to their Cobham training ground.
He once earned the nickname of ‘Chelsea’s official barber’.
Hazard has been visiting the barber for years but got more than he asked for when Alsanawi placed a Spurs kit on the outside of his cover for his latest cut.

The Chelsea legend shrugged off the white strip as popular barber Alsanawi laughed
However, the 33-year-old quickly identified the tomfoolery and exclaimed ‘bro, what are you doing man?’ before shrugging off the cover as Alsanawi laughed.
Hazard was wearing a hoodie showing off the logo for Fini by A Star, a brand of haircare product infused with an Oud fragrance, for which he is an ambassador.
And the Spurs ruse is unlikely to diminish Alsanawi’s reputation as the destination for elite stars with shaggy locks in need of a clipping.
Erling Haaland, Kylian Mbappe, Cesc Fabregas, John Terry, Jude Bellingham, Reece James, Paul Pogba, Diego Costa, and even Jose Mourinho have been sheared up top by A Star.
Last year, Alsanawi told the Mirror about his journey.
‘I’ve been in the game now for 15, 16 years, he said. ‘I picked up a clipper when I was 15 years old… and it’s just over the years [that you meet new clients].
‘You get one and there’s a snowball effect. Obviously you have to be very good at what you do; you can’t just cut their hair and become pals with them, they’ve got to love their haircut.
‘I was cutting all the U21s – like Dom Solanke, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, [Lewis] Baker… Jamal Blackman was in the first-team changing room, and he just recommended me to JT [John Terry]. I was working for Chelsea for three years.
‘Every Monday and Thursday I was there in the changing room cutting their hair. It was a great platform for me, cutting the likes of Diego [Costa], [Alexandre] Pato, Cesc [Fabregas].

Chelsea legend Hazard, 33, hung up his boots in October last year after leaving Real Madrid
‘There were just too many superstars in that changing room at that time [in a good way]. Even Mourinho, I actually cut Mourinho’s hair and witnessed him get sacked.’
Hazard hung up his boots in October last year after leaving Real Madrid over the summer of 2023 and later revealed he simply wasn’t enjoying his football anymore.
He won five league titles across his career with Lille, Chelsea, and Real Madrid, as well as a Champions League, two Europa Leagues, and numerous domestic trophies.
Individually, he was named the PFA Players’ Player of the Year and Premier League Player of the Season during the 2014–15 campaign. His time at Chelsea brought 110 goals and 92 assists in 352 appearances.
However, across a four-season spell at Madrid, he suffered 18 separate injuries and scored seven goals in 76 outings, a far cry from his shining productivity in London and Lille.
