Challenger tennis | Mixed luck for Ramkumar Ramanathan


Ramkumar Ramanathan was beaten 6-3, 7-6(6) by Tung-Lin Wu of Chinese Taipei in the second round of the $135,400 Challenger tennis tournament here.

Ramkumar, however, made the doubles quarterfinals with Mikhail Elgin of Russia.

In the Challenger in Playford, Australia, Sasi Kumar Mukund lost 7-6(4), 6-3 to Harri Heliovaara of Finland.

In the $60,000 ITF women’s event in China, Ankita Raina went down 6-2, 6-4 to Ziyue Sun of China in the first round.
