Two separate transactions occurred on Friday between the Celtics, Hawks, Kings, and the Mavericks. Effectively, it ended up being a three team deal between Boston, Atlanta and Sacramento, and then a further trade between Boston and Dallas. We’ll list the three deals here below, then spell it out in total for each team as The Athletic’s Seth Partnow (analytics), Sam Vecenie (draft/scouting) and Danny Leroux (CBA) discuss them.
The Terms:
Atlanta trades Kris Dunn, Bruno Fernando, and a future second round pick to Boston. Sacramento traded Delon Wright to Atlanta. Boston traded Tristan Thompson to Sacramento.
Dallas trades Josh Richardson to Boston. Richardson exercises his $11.6 million player option, and Boston uses the rest of its trade exception stemming from the Gordon Hayward free agency move to acquire Richardson.
