Fasig-Tipton has cataloged 298 entries for its California Fall Yearlings Sale, to be held on Monday, Oct. 19, at Los Alamitos Race Course in Cypress, Calif. The sale will begin at noon Pacific time.
The sale was initially to be conducted at Fairplex in Pomona, Calif. on the same date. However, due to COVID-19 restrictions on large gatherings at Los Angeles County facilities, the auction has been relocated to Los Alamitos, in neighboring Orange County.
“We have a quality catalog with 298 entries, which is up slightly over our inaugural yearling sale in California last year,” said Fasig-Tipton President Boyd Browning. “There is a good mix of both regional and national sire power, and graduates of last year’s sale are off to a flying start.”
This year’s catalog cover features Positivity, winner of this year’s Graduation Stakes at Del Mar. Exchange Vows, third in the Grade 2 Sorrento Stakes, is also a graduate of last year’s sale.
“This is an important sale for the California marketplace, and we are very appreciative of Dr. Allred and Los Alamitos for accommodating us when it became clear we could not hold the sale in Pomona,” Browning added.
The catalog may now be viewed online, and will also be available via the equineline sales catalogue app. Print catalogs will be available by October 1.
