Case Keenum’s five turnovers vs. Bears prove insurmountable for Redskins


The Redskins had yet another embarrassing performance in their 31-15 loss to the Chicago Bears on Monday, but arguably nobody on the team had a worse night than quarterback Case Keenum. Keenum was responsible for five turnovers with three interceptions and two fumbles, which caused the game to spiral out of control early. Keenum came into the game without a turnover, but all five against the Bears were on him.

On his first one, the Redskins run a version of their Dagger concept. Trey Quinn runs a deep over from the slot while Paul Richardson runs a go route to clear the top of the defense for Terry McLaurin to run the dig route from the outside. Meanwhile, tight end Vernon Davis runs a shallow cross underneath from the backside. Keenum likes the match up with Quinn in the slot and has him as he crosses the middle.
