Carrie Underwood’s My Savior Album Tops 4 Billboard Charts

Carrie Underwood’s new album has topped at least four charts, making this the ninth time she’s had a chart-topping album in her career.

The album, My Savior, debuted at number four on the Billboard 200 chart and topped the Christian Albums chart. According to Universal Music Group, Underwood’s album reached #1 on at least four charts, including Billboard’s Top Albums, Top Country Albums, Top Christian Albums and Current Digital Album.

Additionally, Underwood’s live Easter performance of the album reportedly raised $112,000 for Save The Children, with 2.5 million people viewing the event, Universal Music Group shared in a press release. The event included a special appearance by Gospel music singer CeCe Winans, who sang “Great Is Thy Faithfulness” with Underwood.

Some of the songs on Underwood’s new Gospel album include classic hymns such as “Great Is Thy Faithfulness”, “The Old Rugged Cross” and “Amazing Grace”. Some of the other tracks are “Softly and Tenderly” featuring CeCe Winans, “How Great Thou Art,” and “Nothing But The Blood Of Jesus,” which features NEEDTOBREATHE’s lead singer Bear Rinehart.

My Savior, Underwood told Good Morning America, is meant to serve as a companion to her Christmas album, My Gift.

As Christian Headlines previously reported, Underwood shared with Good Morning America how much she enjoyed making faith-based music again. She told the outlet, “When I was making this music, I felt like my soul was in such a great place, I wanted to keep making music like the music off of My Gift.” She added, “It’s just been such a blessing to make music like this, music that is near and dear to my heart. I hope you guys enjoy listening to it as much as I loved making it”.

Underwood has previously release Christian music, including her songs, “Jesus, Take the Wheel”, “Something in the Water” and “Hallelujah”, which features singer John Legend.
