Can the Nets-Lakers matchup live up to the hype without two superstars?


Two days after pulling off the biggest comeback of the NBA, the Brooklyn Nets continue their west coast road trip against the Los Angeles Lakers in a possible preview of the NBA Finals.

The last time Brooklyn played in Los Angeles, Spencer Dinwiddie hit a game-winning shot in the final seconds to give interim coach Jacque Vaughn the upset victory after Anthony Davis missed a 3 at the buzzer. A day later, the league suspended its season in light of Rudy Gobert’s positive test for COVID-19.

Now the Nets are led by Steve Nash and the three-headed offensive monster of Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and James Harden. They’ll put their four-game winning streak to the test against LeBron James and the defending champions.
