The Broncos are finally on the clock at No. 9.

First-year general manager George Paton has resisted the urge to make a trade that would fetch him a higher spot on the NFL Draft board. He witnessed history as quarterbacks were selected with the first four picks for the first time in league history.

Now, it’s finally Paton’s turn to make his first draft selection from the GM’s throne. Quarterback No. 5 — the one the Jaguars, Jets, 49ers and Falcons all decided they didn’t want — is still available.
