Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer and general manager Jon Horst receive accolades for a tremendous season


The Bucks went through a drastic transformation this season. After winning 44 games last season, they added 16 wins to their total and became just the 77th team in NBA history to win 60 or more games in a season.

After getting eliminated in the first round of the 2018 playoffs by the Celtics, this season the Bucks won the franchise’s first playoff series in nearly two decades and put themselves just two wins away from the NBA Finals.

Central to that transformation was first-year head coach Mike Budenholzer and second-year general manager Jon Horst.

On Monday night, Budenholzer was named the 2018-19 NBA Coach of the Year and Horst was named the 2018-19 NBA Executive of the Year, which gave the Bucks some hardware in three major categories when added to the NBA MVP honor Giannis Antetokounmpo received.
