Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. still isn’t ready to play in 2021. He’ll miss Cleveland’s Week 2 matchup against the Texans with a knee injury lingering from last season, Browns coach Kevin Stefanski said Wednesday.
Beckham seemed on his way to playing last week against Kansas City. The Browns listed Beckham as questionable to play in Week 1 after being limited in practice all week. Donovan Peoples-Jones received the starting nod opposite Jarvis Landry at wide receiver instead of Beckham.
The fiery wide receiver played in seven games last season tallying 23 catches for 319 yards and three touchdowns. He tore his ACL in late October against the Bengals last season while trying to chase down a defender on an interception.
