Athletic DC’s Mock Draft 2.0: With the 15th of the 2019 NFL Draft the Redskins select …


With the first wave of free agency done, prospect visits underway, several weeks worth of offseason subterfuge to sift through and the draft right around the corner, The Athletic D.C.’s staff is taking another crack at predicting what the Redskins will do with the 15th overall selection.

A few of us doubled down on our original selections given recent developments. A couple of us changed our minds based on new information. As always, please join the conversation in the comments.

Pick: Brian Burns, Edge, Florida State.

Measurables: 6 foot 5, 249 pounds.

Analysis: I had Washington trading up to 10 (Denver) in Mock 1.0 to take Burns, but I have the feeling there will be a run on QBs, as there always is, in the top 10, pushing more talent further down in the first round. While Fox Sports has linked Josh Rosen to the Patriots, Giants and Chargers, and claims the Cardinals have been offered a second-round pick for him, I still…
