He has more career touchdowns than the rest of Oregon’s quarterbacks have pass attempts. He started against Clemson, threw for five touchdowns against Wake Forest and has shown throughout his career that he can roll with the punches.
So yes, when probed for an answer this week on his situation — in a battle for the starting job with Tyler Shough — and what the Boston College transfer might do if he doesn’t come away the victor, Brown took the opportunity to show off a bit, answering questions like a seasoned starting quarterback.
“I’m not really worried about the future,” Brown said Wednesday. “Right now, I’m worried about tomorrow’s practice, which is full pads. That’s how I approach it. I can’t really look into the future right now because I don’t know what tomorrow brings.”
