Andy Murray will be hoping to reach the third round at Wimbledon with a win over American veteran John Isner on Centre Court this evening. The Scot managed to get off to a strong start at SW19 on Monday with a tense victory over James Duckworth, who took the opening set but lost the next three in spite of his best efforts.
Murray, who has famously struggled with injuries over the last few years, will now be looking to maintain his positive momentum by claiming another triumph and booking his place in the third round. He will be backed by a raucous home crowd at the All England Club as he aims to continue his winning form with another impressive win on his favoured surface.
The two-time Wimbledon champion will be tested by Isner, though, with the 37-year-old boasting plenty of Grand Slam experience. He has been ranked as high as world No 8 and will be desperate to upset the apple cart at Wimbledon by knocking Murray out and silencing the fans in attendance on Centre Court.
