The children asked the former world No 1 a series of questions such as why chose to take up tennis and how old he was when he first played the sport.
The Duchess then asked Murray whether he missed playing competitive tennis and the three-time major champion hinted that his Grand Slam days are numbered.
“Missing the big competitions because I’m getting old for a tennis player,” he said.
“You never know how many opportunities you’re going to have left to play the biggest competitions.
