Alden’s Organic converts classic beverages into frozen desserts

EUGUNE, ORE. — Alden’s Organic is giving three traditional beverages an ice cream-inspired makeover for summer with the debut of its Summer Bar Collection.

The USDA certified organic treat lineup includes one ice cream bar and two certified vegan frozen dessert bars made with a base of coconut, tapioca, brown rice, oats, pea protein and cane sugar.

The Root Beer Float Bar features root beer flavored sherbet swirled with vanilla ice cream. Each certified gluten-free bar contains 110 calories, 13 grams of sugar and 4 grams of fat.

The Dairy-Free Strawberry Lemonade Bar is made with lemon frozen dessert swirled with strawberries and colored with beet juice. Each bar contains 90 calories, 11 grams of sugar and 3 grams of fat.

The Dairy-Free Horchata Bar combines dairy-free frozen dessert with sweet cinnamon sauce. Each bar contains 110 calories, 12 grams of sugar and 5 grams of fat.

“Our team has done an incredible job bringing these popular beverages to life through our novelties,” said Joelle Simmons, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Alden’s Organic. “With each bite you get true-to-flavor taste from our organic ingredients. For example, the Root Beer Float Bar will instantly take you back to enjoying a cold, crisp root beer with vanilla ice cream on a hot summer day. Consumers are looking for familiar foods and flavors without the allergens. The new Summer Bar Collection offers both certified gluten-free and vegan options, so everyone can enjoy.”

Alden’s Organic Summer Bar Collection novelties are available on the company’s website as well as in grocers nationwide for a suggested retail price of $4.99 to $5.49 per box of four bars.
