Donovan Mitchell spent most of his quarantine in his mother’s basement in New York.
He fought off COVID-19 for three weeks. He did a lot of bike work. He lifted weights. He went to the field down the street from his house to do some sprint work. Like many of his Utah Jazz teammates, he participated in workouts via Zoom. He endured a lot of questions concerning his relationship with his Jazz co-star Rudy Gobert.
“It’s been a long few months,” Mitchell said.
He has now seen the other side of stardom.
