A plane fit for the King(s): NBA and team decide to charter Air Drake for upcoming trip to India


If you’re going to make the 19-hour trek from the West Coast to India to spread the word about the NBA, to stop for gas somewhere around England and keep soaring until you land near the Taj Mahal and later Mumbai, then you may as well do it in style.

The NBA and the Sacramento Kings agree.

According to the Kings, there has been a late tweak to their itinerary for the preseason games against the Indiana Pacers that are scheduled for Oct. 4 and Oct. 5 in Mumbai. Rather than having the players and coaches fly out of Sacramento on the same Boeing 767 that was used to send Team USA to China — and that is plenty nice but a little tight for the taller gents — the league has decided to charter … Air Drake.
