Jazzy and statement knitwear buys that will give your winter wardrobe a new lease of life

Some of our favourites the high street has to offer (Picture: Zara/Never Fully Dressed/Kitri/ASOS)

Knitwear season has arrived, which means it’s time to dig out our favourite winter warmers from the depths of our wardrobes.

Knitted jumpers are a staple for the chillier months and look great teamed with jeans, tucked into tailored trousers, or thrown over the top of a midi skirt and tights.

But if your winter wardrobe is looking a little on the plain side, why not give it a new lease of life with some statement pieces?

We’ve rounded up some of the jazziest garments on the high street right now – and there’s something for everyone with floral motifs, animal prints and more.

And let’s not forget that knitted vests are a big trend for this year – so we’ve thrown one of our favourites in there, too.
