Rosters Named for 2019-20 Development Sled Hockey Teams


Forward Kyle Zych (South Hadley, Mass.) and defenseman Danny Santos (Milton, N.H.) both return to the U.S. Men’s Development Sled Hockey roster after serving on the team in 2017-18. Zych and Santos both play for the Northeast Passage Wildcats along with Malloy, Storms and LaMarre.

Newcomers to the U.S. Men’s Development Sled Hockey Team include forwards Nick Elliott(Murfreesboro, Tenn.) and Isaac Escobedo (Las Vegas, Nev.) and defenseman Chris McCoy(O’Fallon, Mo.). Click here for the complete 2019-20 U.S. Men’s Development Sled Hockey roster.

In its second season under full governance of USA Hockey, the U.S. Women’s Development Sled Hockey Team features 18 players, including nine forwards, six defensemen and three goaltenders. This year’s team includes 15 returning players from the 2018-19 season, including forwards Sarah Bettencourt (San Diego, Calif.) and Catherine Faherty (Norwell, Mass.); defensemen Christina Gardner (Lewiston, Maine) and Erica Mitchell (Chicago, Ill.); and goaltender triad of Hope Bevilhymer (Las Vegas, Nev.), Gabby Graves-Wake (Phoenix, Ariz.) and Rosie Robinson (Howards Grove, Wis.).

Newcomers to the U.S. Women’s Development Sled Hockey Team include forwards Brianna Atkins (Las Vegas, Nev.) and Lera Doederlein (San Diego, Calif.) along with defenseman Chloe Kirkpatrick (Bemidji, Minn.). Click here for the complete 2019-20 U.S. Women’s Development Sled Hockey roster.

NOTES: Both rosters were selected following their respective tryouts earlier this month … Kip St. Germaine (East Falmouth, Mass.) will serve as the head coach of the U.S. Men’s Development Sled Hockey Team and be joined behind the bench by assistant coaches Mike Blabac (Hamburg, N.Y.) and Craig Brady (Silver Spring, Mass.) … Rose Misiewicz (Duluth, Minn.) will serve as the head coach of the U.S. Women’s Development Sled Hockey Team with Hannah DeLong(Madison, Wis.) as her assistant coach … The full 2019-20 schedules for both development teams will be released in the upcoming weeks … For more information on USA Hockey’s disabled hockey disciplines, click here.
