Steph Curry leaves preseason game with finger injury

Golden State Warriors fans got quite the scare Friday when Steph Curry had to leave the team’s preseason contest early.

The Warriors hosted the Sacramento Kings for a preseason contest at Chase Center in San Francisco, Calif.

Curry started the game and played 16 minutes in the first half. But the two-time NBA MVP jammed his finger late in the second quarter and was subbed out, according to Anthony Slater of The Athletic.

The 10-time All-Star was later seen heading back to the locker room with Warriors trainer Rick Celebrini. Curry did not return to the contest as De’Anthony Melton started in his place during the second half.

The positive news for Warriors fans is that the injury seems to be considered minor. Curry was reportedly able to go through his normal postgame workout in the weight room as the game went on.
