Monkeypox, Gay Spider-Man, and a Trans Bill of Rights: This Week in Queer News

Just one week ago, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. For last week’s roundup, the news was immediate. Now, we are living in its long shadow. As this Pride Month closes — by the way, welcome to Wrath Month —  it’s hard to shake the feeling that the world is determined to rain on our parade. Whether it be the judiciary, the legislature, or a new virus, there is plenty to fear. But Pride Month is a reminder that, in each other, we also find much to celebrate. If there is one salve to this pride, let it be that many queer people heed the call to look out for each other.
