Gulfstream Park’s special Wednesday program will have a special bonus with a 20-cent Rainbow 6 carryover of $356,444.67.
First race post time Wednesday is 1:15 p.m.
The Rainbow 6 sequence begins Wednesday with the third race, a maiden claiming event for 2-year-olds going 5 ½ furlongs. The sequence also includes an allowance event at a mile on the turf that includes graded-stakes winner Speed Franco and stakes winners Seismic Jolt and Art G Is Back.
The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.
The Rainbow 6 was last solved July 6, when one lucky bettor hit for a $173,583.90 jackpot payoff.
Wednesday’s program kicks off a five-day week and the beginning of the $1.4 million FTBOA Florida Sire Stakes Series. Saturday’s feature races will be the $100,000 Dr. Fager for 2-year-old colts and geldings and the $100,000 Desert Vixen for 2-year-old fillies.
