$314,503 Jackpot In Saturday’s Single Ticket Pick 6 At Santa Anita

Hopes ran high on Friday at Santa Anita, as Wild Cat Canyon, Go Sammy Go and Artcrilic represented the hopes of three “live” tickets in Friday’s eighth and final race at Santa Anita—each with a shot at winning just under $400,000 in the 20 cent Single Ticket Rainbow Pick 6 Jackpot.  It wasn’t to be however, as none of those three horses finished on top, thus creating a Jackpot carryover of $314,503 into Saturday.

Although there was no single ticket winner on Friday, there were four consolation tickets with six winners, each returning $13,231.

With a Jackpot carryover coming into today of $291,821, there was $99,068 in new money wagered, amounting to a total Jackpot pool of $390,889.

First post time for a nine-race card on Saturday is at 12:30 p.m. and approximate post time for race four, the beginning of the Rainbow Six, is at 2:07 p.m. PT.

Saturday’s main event, the Grade 3, $100,000 Autumn Miss Stakes, has been carded as race seven.  In what appears to be the best betting race on the card, the Simon Callaghan-trained Hidden Message, who will be ridden by Flavien Prat, has been installed as the 5-2 morning line favorite among a field of 12 sophomore fillies going one mile on turf.
