It’s Sunday at the Sony Open and a rain-adjusted tee time schedule means things will be wrapping up even earlier than usual. Brendan Steele leads the action heading into Sunday at Waialae Country Club in Honolulu at 18 under for the week. Steele leads by two after 54 holes as he looks to avenge his heartbreaking defeat in the waning moments of last year’s Sony Open. The 37-year-old looks to build on his Saturday 61 in the final round, seeking his fourth career PGA Tour victory.

Closely behind Steele atop the leaderboard is Joaquin Niemann. The 22-year-old is fresh off a playoff loss at the Tournament of Champions, but seems to be showing no ill-effects from his narrow loss to Harris English at this week’s Sony. Niemann has recorded rounds of 62 and 63 through the first 54 holes, and sits just two strokes back of Steele at 16 under. Also in the hunt are Kevin Na (-16), Peter Malnati and Charley Hoffman (-15).
