Notable pairings for Tournament of Champions Round 3

Friday’s second round became a mini Moving Day, as several players made big gains on the leaderboard. Among them: Dustin Johnson, the odds-on favorite, who found himself six shots shy of the lead after Thursday’s first round. Johnson matched the low round of the week on Friday, firing an 8-under 65, to rise 20 spots on the leaderboard to T10, 10-under overall. Johnson will play the third round with Patrick Reed (-11) at 5:05 p.m. ET.

Two other big movers? Daniel Berger and Collin Morikawa, both of whom also shot 8-under 65 on Friday and are now in contention at 12-under overall.

But the player everyone will be chasing on Saturday remains unchanged. Harris English held on to the top spot on the leaderboard by following up a first-round 65 with a second round of 6-under 67. He’s now 14-under overall and leads the field by two shots. English will play the third round alongside Berger in the final pairing at 5:45 p.m. ET.
